By accessing or using Patchlight, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Patchlight is an AI-powered desktop application that helps you turn customer feedback into prioritized weekly action plans. The Service processes your feedback data locally on your device using artificial intelligence to identify patterns, categorize sentiment, and generate actionable recommendations. Patchlight is designed for individual product builders, indie hackers, solo founders, and creators.

3. Account Registration & Responsibility

To use Patchlight, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information, including your name and email address. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account

You may not share your account credentials or allow others to access your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscription & Billing

Patchlight offers multiple pricing tiers, including free and paid subscription plans. Details of available plans, features, and pricing are available on our website and may change from time to time.

Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period for paid plans. At the end of the trial, you will be charged for the selected plan unless you cancel before the trial expires. We will notify you before the trial ends and any charges begin.

Payment & Renewal

Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) according to the plan you choose. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method automatically at the start of each billing cycle.

Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. Refunds are provided at our sole discretion and only in exceptional circumstances.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Patchlight to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
• Upload or process content that is illegal, harmful, or objectionable
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Use automated means to access the Service in a way that exceeds reasonable usage
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written consent

6. Intellectual Property

Patchlight and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Patchlight and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Our name, logo, and branding may not be used without our prior written consent.

You retain full ownership of all feedback data and content you import into Patchlight. We claim no intellectual property rights over your data. Any action plans, summaries, or insights generated by the AI based on your data are yours to use as you see fit.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Patchlight and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Patchlight and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in the application. Upon account deletion, we will remove your account information from our servers. Since your feedback data is stored locally, it remains on your device and is under your control.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delaware, USA.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice in the application at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
